Origin and development
XLX (Xpert Learning Xperience) was originally developed within a Dutch government initiative aimed at stimulating entrepreneurship, particularly among university researchers and students. The goal was to turn innovative ideas into new business ventures.
From national to World application
Following its initial success, XLX was further developed within European programs to support a broader audience. It has been applied in contexts such as reintegration, employability and the stimulation of entrepreneurship across different sectors. It has been applied in many countries across the globe.
From business plan to business model
Over time, the methodology evolved from a traditional business plan approach towards a more flexible business model perspective. This resulted in an approach based on business model generation, allowing participants to develop and test their ideas in a dynamic and structured way.
Learning through experience
XLX is based on the principle of learning by doing. Participants actively work on ideas, interact with experts and make decisions under time pressure. This creates a realistic environment that closely resembles real entrepreneurial situations.
